William Mårdberg (b. 1995, Stockholm) is a filmmaker and artist working across film, music and visual art.
His practice is built on montage and construction — fiction understood not as document but as a more durable form of truth. Drawing on the traditions of Brecht, Benjamin, and Charlotte Delbo, he is building worlds where the constructed nature of the work remains visible and intentional.
He is currently enrolled in the Five-Year Master’s Program in Fine Art at the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, following an academic exchange at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Vienna. His work has been shown at MUMOK (Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien), MoMA PS1 at Art Basel Miami, and Norrtälje Konsthall
