Part of the exhibition Leakage as Resistance, William U. A. Mårdberg presented the sound-based work Jag doppar tårna i – inser min lott – men avvärjer klockslaget. The piece is composed from a single manipulated electric guitar, modulated through a pedalboard to evoke tones reminiscent of a cello or distant bells.
Using sonic subtractions and tonal delays, the work creates an inner acoustic space where confession, healing, and emotional residue surface. The composition suggests a stripped-down liturgical form—taken out of its traditional spatial context (such as the church)—but retaining its ceremonial gravity. The result is a minimalist but immersive experience that hovers between memory, resonance, and slow transformation.
